11 Plus English Mock Exam 1- 21st April 2024

DESCRIPTION:

This is a standard format English Mock Exam for the 11+ exams.

The 11 Plus English Mock Exam will take place in The Latymer School, Edmonton N9

The test consists of a Comprehension and Creative Writing to be completed in 60 minutes.

Results are provided on the Thursday after the test is completed.

An online Review session is held approximately three hours after the exam ends.

The English paper will be explained to the pupils after the exam, using our ONLINE TEACHING PLATFORM. The  Review session will be held from 5:00 p.m. ON THE DAY OF THE MOCK EXAM. Login details for the ONLINE Review session will be provided upon registration. The invitation for the online session will be sent approximately 30 minutes after the start of the exam. Please note the login details for this session are different from the result website link.

In order to attend the Review session, you will need to download and install Electa Live 8 on your computer or tablet.

Electa Live 8 is free to download, install and, also, to use.

The Review session is a live, online interactive session. Full explanations are given for all the Comprehension questions. The live, interactive review is also recorded, and Mock-exam attendees are given access to the recording.

We will send an invitation link for the Review session 30 minutes after the start of the exam so you can attend this session. If you are new to our platform, you will also receive a password and username for your Electa session via the email used for booking the Mock exam. This is our 15th year of conducting Mock Exams.   

INSTRUCTIONS:

Please remember to register on www.greattutors.net and once registered, use your login details to book the mock(s) of your choice. A payment for the mock exam(s) will be required as part of the registration process.

Please remember to send us your child's name and your contact details (for emergencies) when you book the mock exam.

Venue - The Latymer School, Edmonton N9 9TN.

Times

Registration: 12:30 p.m. for English                                                                                                                    

Pick-up: 2:00 p.m. for the English Mock Exam.

Exam - 12:45 p.m. to 1:50 p.m. The test starts at 12:45 p.m.

Equipment - Please bring 3 - 4 sharp pencils and an eraser in a transparent pencil case or plastic bag. Please bring HB or B pencils which are dark so that they show when scanned.

Drinks - you can bring in a  bottle of water (preferably in a non-plastic container) - we will have water there as well. Please DO NOT bring sweet or fizzy drinks

Snacks – A SMALL SANDWICH OR LIGHT LUNCH ONLY AS CHILDREN WILL ONLY HAVE 10 MINUTES ONLY TO EAT. PLEASE REMEMBER THERE MIGHT BE CHILDREN WITH ALLERGIES SO DO NOT SEND ANY FOOD CONTAINING NUTS.

Watches, Electronic equipment, fancy pencil cases and boxes will NOT be allowed.
